Selection of Lean Practices, Company Sizes and Corporate Culture: A Mini Review

The purpose of this paper is to address the accompanying lean manufacturing (LM) implementation barrier issues and their future outlook. In the article “An SEM approach for the barrier analysis in lean implementation in manufacturing industries,” the barriers that hinder the implementation of lean manufacturing are discussed based on three factors; culture and human attitude, knowledge, and resources. The authors examine why Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) companies refuse or are unable to implement lean using the wood and furniture industries as a case study. This mini review summarizes the reasons for not implementing LM practices from the perspective of LM practice selection and contextual factors.

Measuring Customers Awareness of Online Hotel Booking: A Study in Uttarakhand

In the modern world, the hotel industry in India has grown the most. The broad availability of internet apps has significantly altered the hospitality and tourism industries. Being polite is an act or behavior related to the interaction between a guest and a host in the hospitality industry. The hospitality and tourism industries are closely related. Hospitality is the behavior of receiving, hosting or having fun with the guest. Technology is advancing rapidly, and people are becoming more net-savvy. The hospitality industry has been primarily affected by this development in technology. Bookings are being made more accessible by online tools that allow customers to book their stay and efficiently plan their travel; hence, saving time and energy Customers are becoming more comfortable with online booking sites. Therefore, measuring the awareness level of online hotel booking apps was necessary. This study aimed to examine the preference for online hotel booking. The descriptive research was based on primary data; a modified questionnaire was used to measure customer awareness regarding online hotel booking apps. The Data were collected from 300 respondents convenience sampling method was used, between 18 to 40 years. The result of the study showed that male customers are more aware than female customers who use apps more than two times a year.

The port facility will be expanded to a greater deal in order meet the growing world demands for commercial purposes. DP World is constructing a quay which will be extended and it will increase the overall capacity of the regional port. With the boom in maritime industry and new technology improvements in the shipping services sector, machinery repair services have become an attractive platform for many service companies in the UAE region. Competitive services along with less lead time and high quality is now one of the key factors that can lead to better business prospects. However, there seems to be more factors that influence the ship owners operating in Gulf waters. The fast development of shipping industry has made it feasible for many business individuals to set up their own service companies thereby increasing the competition. It is highly recommended to understand the needs of our customers and partners in the maritime sector. Thus, we will be able to guide our team to provide the best solutions that will serve the maritime sector in the UAE. The focus of this study is on understanding the factors that could help to increase the clientele and also to identify the key factors for customer satisfaction and retention

The Interpretation of Directors Duties during Administration and Liquidation of Company by the English Courts

However, after the meticulous and critical analysis of English courts jurisprudence, it has been pinpointed that directors are obliged to perform very limited duties when a company is passing from liquidation or administration.

Effect of Employees Psychological Availability of an Employee at Work on Business Performance of Revenue Authorities in Tanzania: A Case of Zanzibar Revenue Board

This study attempted to examine the Effects of Psychological Availability of an employee at work on Business Performance of Zanzibar Revenue Board in Tanzania. The study is based on data collected from 100 respondents constituting the working staff of Zanzibar Revenue Board sampled by non-probability method by convenient sampling technique. The data was collected by personal interviews and analyzed by descriptive statistics tools by excel. The findings show that, Psychological Availability of an employee at work has high effects on business performance of Zanzibar Revenue Board. Based on the findings, the study recommends Zanzibar Revenue Board to employ various strategies to increase psychological availability of employees at work because it has a high effect on the business performance of the organization.

Influence of Media Advertisements on Purchase Intentio: Evidence from Sri Lankan Mobile Phone Market

Marketers use a variety of information channels to sway consumer behavior. Every communications system's advertisement has a unique mix that engages consumers in a unique way. Consumer media habits have shifted as a result of digitalization. As a result, a better understanding of advertisements on various media platforms and their implications for CB is required. The goal of this study is to see how advertising affects consumer purchase intentions in the Sri Lankan smart phone market. It reflects how people react to different types of mobile phone advertisements. The study employed the survey method, with data collected from 150 participants. The data was analyzed using statistical tools such as Cronbach's alpha, correlation, and regression tests. The goal of the research was to see how advertising media affected the Sri Lankan smart phone industry. Advertising media accounts for 34% of purchase intention, according to the R Square value. Radio commercials, billboard advertisements, and newspaper advertisements, on the other hand, all have a negative impact. The purchase intention in the Smart phone industry is positively influenced when other factors (online advertisements, social media advertisements) are taken into account. Marketers must use social media advertising to promote their devices, according to the smart phone industry. Marketing managers can learn from this study and engage in suitable media to achieve the objectivity of their commercial advertisements.
